World’s Fair in Dubai May Shutdown Due to Omicron Concern

The multi-billion dollar World’s Fair in Dubai has warned to close some premises due to Omicron variant and COVID-19 cases as the virus is on the rise in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the organizers said.

According to the Dubai International Exposition 2020, a part of the venues will be temporarily closed for deep cleaning and sanitization due to the outbreak of Omicron variant and COVID-19 virus among the staff.

In a statement, the organizers said they put wearing masks mandatory on the staff and visitors.

All the workers will be tested regularly, the statement said, adding the health and safety of visitors are top priority for them.

We continue to welcome the participants and visitors in the Expo, the statement added.

Millions of tourists from around the world are visiting Dubai in the lights of winter tourism and also the Expo is preparing for a major avenue on New Year’s Eve.
