Whoopi Goldberg Says Breakthrough COVID-19 Diagnosis “Could Have Been Much Worse”

Whoopi Goldberg provided an update on Wednesday’s edition of The View following the report that she tested positive for COVID-19.

Goldberg noted that after being exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19, she had already begun to distance herself.  She, later on, discovered she was positive when she tested before returning to The View after the holiday break.

Joy Behar went on to remark that they were all “especially anxious” about Goldberg, who had pneumonia a few years ago. Goldberg, on the other hand, is unconcerned because she feels “you can only do what you can do” and that safety standards are being implemented everywhere.

Later, Goldberg said that her quarantine schedule included “listening to a lot of books,” “slowly unpacking Christmas presents” that she had managed to hide in her room, and “eating some pretty wonderful cuisine.”

Hostin, who has been immunized and boosted, stated that she tested positive for COVID-19 before Christmas. Meanwhile, Ana Navarro reported that her father tested positive for COVID, and Sara Haines’ husband was infected with the virus as well.
