No. 18 Pitt volleyball secured its fifth consecutive appearance in the NCAA postseason following a 12-year drought in 2004.
The Panthers will face the Long Island University Sharks in the first round on April 14. The winner will take on No. 14 Utah the next day in the second round.
The Panthers are one of 18 participants selected as an at-large against the 30 other teams that automatically qualified via conference championships.
The championship, taking place in Nebraska, will mark Pitt’s 16th overall appearance in the NCAA tournament. Fellow ACC schools Georgia Tech, Notre Dame and Louisville will appear alongside Pitt in the tournament.
The first round match will air at 10:30 p.m. on ESPN3.
