Ukraine War Updates: Reserve Deployment, Donetsk Destruction, and More

Russian troops have launched 28 strikes on the Donetsk region over the past day that hit seven localities.

The press service of the National Police of Ukraine has reported that the enemy struck the towns of Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Siversk, Soledar, Toretsk, Kostiantynivka, Bylbasivka, Pivdenne, Pivnichne, the villages of Andriivka, Hryshyne, Dachne, Pavlivka, Fedorivka, Yahidne. 

According to the press service report, there were civilians killed and wounded. 

Data from the National Police indicated that airstrikes, S-300 missiles, Smerch MLRS, and artillery were used by the Russians to decimate the civilian population and infrastructure.

Russian invaders have focused their efforts in southern Ukraine on stopping the progress of Ukrainian defense forces by stationing reserve units.

According to a Facebook post by the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff, their soldiers immediately suppressed all attempted enemy assaults in the Mala Seidemynukha-Andriivka and Davydiv Brid-Bilohirka directions. 

The Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff added that the occupiers have retreated. 

Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities said the fighting has gotten worse along a portion of the border between the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.

Russian attack attempts “were swiftly crushed” by Ukrainian soldiers near Davydiv Brid in Kherson.

Eight persons were hurt, according to Valentyn Reznichenko, chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Region Civil-Military Administration, in Russian rocket attacks that targeted homes and schools in the cities of Nikopol and Kryvih Rih.
