Teenager Charged With Murder of Couple in Livingston on Boxing Day

A teenager appeared in court on Dec. 28 charged with murdering an elderly couple found dead in their home in Livingston on Boxing Day.

Tobyn Salvatore, 19, also known as Jay Fell, made no plea when he appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court with two charges of murder for the deaths of Denis and May Fell, both 73.

The bodies of Denis and May were found in their address in Raeburn Rigg, Livingston, West Lothian at 11:40 p.m. local time on Dec. 26.

According to reports, Salvatore was the grandson of the elderly couple and lived locally.

Salvatore was remanded in custody for further examination.

Salvatore is due to make another court appearance within the next eight days.

“A continued presence may be seen in the area as officers continue with their inquiries, but this was a contained incident and there was no risk to the wider public,” Detective Chief Inspector Kevin Houliston of Police Scotland’s major investigation team said in a statement on Dec. 28.
