Tajikistan Prime Minister, Qohir Rasoulzoda and Belarus Ambassador to Tajikistan Viktor Denisenko held a detailed discussion on ways to improve bilateral trade between the two states.
Both sides agreed on new methods in a bid to enhance the bilateral trade with a focus on implementation of joint long-term economic and humanitarian projects in Tajikistan, the Belarus Embassy in Tajikistan said in a statement.
The two sides also agreed to take further steps in operationalizing the Tajik-Belarusian joint commission for trade and economic cooperation, the statement added.
During the meeting, Rasoulzoda underlined the need for positive dialogue on intensifying political and economic engagement between the two countries.
According to Khiovar News Agency, bilateral trade between Tajikistan and Belarus over the first nine months has valued at about $30 million.
