Steve Levitan’s ‘Reboot’ Scores Series Pickup at Hulu

Reboot, a comedy from Modern Family co-creator Steve Levitan, has been ordered to series on Hulu.

Keegan-Michael Key and Johnny Knoxville feature in the project, which is Levitan’s follow-up to multiple Emmy winner Modern Family. Judy Greer has also joined the ensemble, taking up a part previously portrayed by Leslie Bibb in the pilot episode.

Relaunch stars Key and Knoxville as the two male protagonists of an early 2000s family sitcom that Hulu decides to reboot, reuniting the dysfunctional cast. In today’s fast-changing environment, they must cope with their unsolved difficulties.

The sitcom is being produced by Disney’s 20th Television, where Levitan has a lucrative overall agreement.

The series was conceived by Levitan, who also co-wrote the pilot with John Enbom (Party Down, Veronica Mars). Levitan will also serve as showrunner, and he and Enbom will serve as executive producers alongside Danielle Stokdyk and Jeff Morton.
