Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin held a phone call on Wednesday with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ali Asadov, discussing trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, the Russian government said in a statement.
“The heads of government comprehensively discussed issues related to the bilateral cooperation in different projects in various fields,” the statement added.
The two leaders also discussed ways in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic, where the two sides emphasized over an all-encompassing vaccination drive that everyone should have to take their two doses of vaccines, according to the statement.
Importance of the activities of a trilateral working group on restoring transport and economic links in the South Caucasus were also discussed by the two leaders, the statement added.
