Man in His 20s Found Dead After Shooting in Toronto’s West End

Police found a man in his 20s dead in his townhouse unit in Toronto’s west end following a shooting on Dec. 26 night.

Toronto police said they received reports at round 7:45 p.m. that a man had been shot in an address on Humber Boulevard and Alliance Avenue.

Police found the man with gunshot wounds at his home and was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has not yet been identified.

The Homicide Unit is currently conducting an investigation into the incident.

Duty Inspector Mike Williams told CP24 that police are currently looking for at least two suspects who fled the area on foot.

“What I can tell you so far about what our officers have found is that two males apparently dressed in dark clothing and with masks on entered a townhouse here, and that’s when this altercation took place and led to this this young man’s death,” Williams said.

“It seems like these two people had a very deliberate course of action that they seem to have wanted to follow,” Williams added.

Williams also said that “a very, very strong police presence” is in the neighborhood.

Toronto has seen three homicides involving guns for the past four nights, which Williams described as “very concerning.”
