Man Charged in Fatal Stabbing During River Tubing Confrontation in Wisconsin

A Minnesota man was charged on Monday for killing a teenager and stabbing four other people at a popular summer tubing spot in Wisconsin.

Nicolae Miu, 52, is charged with four counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide for the killing of the teenager, Isaac Schuman.

Miu is also facing charges of felony.

Witnesses and victims in the fatal incident said Miu was “bothering a group of juveniles on their tubes,” and the group was “yelling for help from other individuals floating down the river nearby.”

The incident escalated when Miu punched or slapped a female in the group, leading to Miu “stabbing multiple individuals who were near him” with a three-inch silver blade.

Schuman was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital, and the four other victims were in stable condition.
