Legoland Florida Offering Four-Year Scholarship with Celebratory Lottery

Legoland Florida is celebrating its 10th anniversary by raffling off a $28,000 scholarship through Florida Prepaid.

The theme park partnered with Florida Prepaid, a program that offers tuition funding options and college savings plans, to encourage imagination in Florida children while helping their families save for a college education. The average cost of tuition for colleges in Florida is estimated around $3,800 for in-state students and $15,000 for out-of-state students.

To enter the raffle, parents or guardians need to fill out a form online by 5 p.m. on April 22. The winner will be randomly selected and their family will be invited to Legoland’s birthday celebration in fall. Participants are also expected to submit a drawing or video of their child’s Lego designs for the park’s social media, which will not affect the scholarship selection.

Any Florida residents with children born on or before Oct. 15, 2011 will be eligible to participate. The winner will be selected on April 23.
