An elderly Palestinian man has died following his arrest by the Israeli army in the village of Jaljulia in the north of Ramallah in the West Bank.
Fuad Fattoum, the head of the municipal council in the village of Jaljulia, told WAFA News Agency that the elderly Omar Abdel-Majid Asaad, 80, from the village, died after being held and assaulted by the Israeli army
“Israeli soldiers detained, blindfolded, and handcuffed him,” Fattoum said, adding his dead body was left inside under a construction house where he was assaulted.
Fattoum furthered that Asaad was going home after a visit to his relatives when Israeli soldiers stopped his vehicle and pulled him out of it.
Meanwhile, 12 Palestinians received injuries as a result of the Israeli forces’ attack on them on Tuesday in al-Bireh City in the West Bank.
