Iran Reports 7,348 Fresh COVID-19 Cases, 71 Deaths Within 24 Hours

Iran on Monday reported 7,348 new COVID-19 cases and 71 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the country’s total to 7,482,521.

With new fatalities, the total deaths reached 143,015 since the outbreak of the virus started in the country in 2019.

Iran’s health ministry said that 1,254 patients have been admitted to the hospitals during the span of time, with some of them reported critical.

There are 1,486 patients in intensive care units, and the medical team is scrambling to save them.

Another 7,181,082 patients have been recovered and discharged from hospitals so far.

Meanwhile, 64,840,855 Iranian people have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 58,208,617 received second dose.

Around 30,327,441 Iranians received their third shots as the booster jab.
