Iran Records 7,396 New COVID-19 Cases And 84 Deaths Within 24 Hours

Iranian Health Ministry on Thursday said they have recorded 7,396 new positive cases of COVID-19 and 84 related deaths across the country in the past 24 hours.

With the latest figures, the number of total fatalities increased to 142,738 people and the infections reached to 7,459,175 since the outbreak of the virus started in Iran in 2019.

The ministry said that the health conditions of another 1,341 infected individuals deteriorated during the span of time, and were admitted to the hospitals.  

A total of 7,140,272 patients have been fully recovered and discharged from the hospitals, but another 1,469 patients are under medical treatment in intensive care units. Their health conditions were reported critical.

So far 64,827,712 Iranians have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 58,199,805 people received their second doses.
