An explosion near a restroom of the judicial complex in Ludhiana left two people dead and many more injured.
The explosion reportedly occurred at around 12:22 pm local inside a bathroom on the second floor of the Ludhiana judicial complex and blew out a large part of the building.
The judicial building was occupied during the explosion but there are no exact figures on how many people were inside.
“There’s been a blast but we can not confirm the cause. We can confirm that four people are injured and out of four, two are dead,” said a policeman at the scene.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack but Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh said that those who tried to “disturb peace and harmony of state” will not be spared.
Indian authorities are still trying to investigate the incident.
