Another 19 patients have lost their lives to the virus in the same period of hours, the health ministry said in a statement, bringing its death toll to 22,014.
Meanwhile, 906 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered from the virus and were discharged from hospitals, adding to the total of 328,957.
Egypt Health Minister, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said that so far they received 119.3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines, of which 55.7 million doses are used in vaccination drives as of yet.
“We still have 64,335,246 doses of vaccines,” Ghaffar quoted in a statement by his office.
Ghaffar called on the citizens to register themselves to the health ministry’s website in order to get their vaccine. “It’s free, you don’t have to pay,” Gaffar informed the citizens, stressing that the ministry will do everything in its capacity to get all the people vaccinated against the virus.
