Egypt Eager To Enhance Trade Cooperation With German Business Community

Egypt President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Wednesday expressed Cairo’s immense interest in developing and promoting trade and economic cooperation with German companies and business communities.

During a roundtable discussion in Germany’s capital city Berlin, El-Sisi said that joint investments with the German business community would contribute to supporting the economic development of Egypt.

El-Sisi praised the positive developments witnessed by Egypt-Germany economic and trade relations in the past several years, asking for further strengthening of the ties.

“There are various investment opportunities in Egypt in different mega projects,” El-Sisi told the participants.

The participants lauded EI-Sisi’s efforts in achieving economic reform as well as accelerating efforts to speed up the development process in the country.

Sisi, who visited Germany on an official visit, met with his German counterpart, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and German Minister of Defense Christine Lambrecht.

During a meeting with Scholz, El-Sisi called for doubling German investments in Egypt and spoke about available opportunities in mega national projects.
