Crossbow Wielding Man Breaks into Windsor Castle While Royal Family was Celebrating Christmas

UK Police have arrested a crossbow-armed man who tried to break into Windsor castle while Queen Elizabeth was preparing for Christmas mass.

The 19-year-old suspect was spotted on CCTV scaling the iron fence of the palace using a rope ladder last Saturday at around 9:30 AM local time which forced security staff to raise a “top-level emergency.”

The suspect was arrested before he managed to reach the palace while no one was reported hurt.

The suspect was taken to Maidenhead police station for questioning while there is no further information on his identity or motive.

Thames Valley’s Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Barber said they would be conducting a joint probe on the incident with Scotland Yard.

Police have not said if the incident was an attempted terror attack.
