Capri Sun Recalls Thousands of Pouches Over Possible Contamination

Kraft Heinz announced a voluntary recall on Friday of thousands of pouches of Capri Sun due to possible contamination with diluted cleaning solution.

Kraft Heinz said it is recalling approximately 5,760 cases of Capri Sun Wild Cherry Flavored Juice Drink Blend beverages.

The “Best When Used By” date on the cases is June 25, 2023.

Kraft Heinz’s recall comes after a diluted cleaning solution used on food processing equipment was inadvertently introduced into a production line at one of its factories.

Kraft Heinz discovered the possible contamination issue when customers started complaining about the taste of the affected Wild Cherry Capri Suns.

Customers are encouraged to return the drinks if they believe they were contaminated with the cleaning solution.
