At least four people were killed in a blast that targeted a public gathering in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province on Thursday evening.
Another 16 people received injuries as a result of a blast caused by an Improvised Explosive Device at the main gate of Science College Ground Quetta City, Pakistan’s Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) said in a statement.
The wounded individuals have been taken to the civil hospital in Quetta and an investigation has been launched into the incident.
There is no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
The province where the blast occurred is a key route of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor project, where the CTD on Thursday claimed that around 90 percent of terrorists operating in Afghanistan are actively targeting the multi-billion dollars projects.
