Authorities Identify Windsor Castle Intruder

Police have identified the crossbow-wielding intruder who trespassed in Windsor Castle last Christmas as Jaswant Singh Chail, a 19-year-old from Southampton.

“I’m sorry for what I’ve done and what I will do. I will attempt to assassinate Elizabeth, Queen of the Royal Family,” said Chail in an alleged video manifesto that he posted on Snapchat just minutes before he climbed the castle fence.

The video purportedly showed Chai wearing a hood and a Sith mask and claimed to be “Darth Jones.”

“I’m sorry to all of those who I have wronged or lied to. If you have received this then my death is near,” said Chail at the end of the video.

According to Chail, the planned assassination was revenge for the Jallianwala massacre in 1919.

“We’ve not had a chance to speak to him but are trying to get him the help he needs. From our perspective, we are going through a difficult time. We are trying to resolve this issue and it’s not easy,” said Chail’s father Jasbir Singh Chail.

Chail was charged under the Mental Health Act while Scotland Yard is still investigating his video manifesto.
