Socialist Luis Arce Wins Presidential Election in Bolivia

Socialist candidate of the Movimiento al Socialismo party Luis Arce will be declared the winner of Bolivia’s presidential election after interim president Jeanine Añez formally conceded defeat on Monday and announced 52 percent of the people registered in the electoral college voted for him. Opposition leaders Carlos Mesa and Fernando Camacho gained 31 percent and 17 percent respectively.
