Queensland police said three people died in a shooting incident in Bogie on Thursday morning.
Upon responding to the incident, the police found another man in a vehicle at Flagstone, shot to his stomach. Acting Superintendent Tom Armitt said the man could have fled from the incident area.
Police said the man was in a “serious but stable condition” after receiving medical treatment.
Police declared an emergency under the Public Safety Preservation Act because of confusion about the exact location of the shooting. Armitt said the emergency declaration was later withdrawn after identifying the crime scenes.
Authorities have not identified a suspect but said investigations are ongoing.
“At this stage, we are at very, very early stages of this investigation. We do not know who is responsible,” said Armitt.
Police said they would conduct forensic examinations at various crime scenes around the area on Friday.
