Drone Strike Hits Headquarters of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet on the Crimean Peninsula

A drone attack hit Russia’s Black Sea fleet headquarters on the Crimean Peninsula on Sunday, injuring six people.

Russian media reported that the drone, which appeared to be homemade and low-powered, dropped an explosive device, causing two people to sustain moderately severe injuries and the others with minor injuries.

Russian health officials said the victims of the attack received medical treatment and are now stable.

Mykhailo Razvozhaev, Russian-appointed mayor of Sevastopol, accused the Ukrainian forces of the drone strike.

The Ukrainian Navy denied the allegation, saying the Ukrainian troops have only attacked Russian military facilities.

“Crimea is Ukraine,” the Navy said.

Russia canceled its celebration of Navy Day after the drone strike.
