Saudi Born Canadian Sentenced to Life in Prison in U.S. for Aiding ISIS

A Saudi-born Canadian jihadist who narrated multiple violent videos and participated in the executions of two Syrian soldiers was sentenced Friday to life in prison by a U.S. Federal judge.

Mohammed Khalifa, 39, pleaded guilty last December in District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia to a charge of conspiring to provide material or resources to a foreign terrorist organization, resulting in death.

Khalifa was a lead Islamic State propaganda official who served as the English.narrator on more than a dozen violent ISIS videos.

The U.S. Department of Justice alleges that Khalifa played a key role in the group’s efforts to recruit tens of thousands of foreign fighters to fight for the self-proclaimed ISIS caliphate in Iraq and Syria.
