White House Physician Confirms POTUS Tested Negative for Covid

The White House physician announced in a new letter that President Joe Biden has tested negative for Covid-19 twice since Tuesday night and will discontinue the tight isolation protocols he had been following since acquiring the coronavirus last week.

This letter was made public as the White House announced that Biden will speak in the Rose Garden at 11:30 a.m. 

“The President continues to be very specifically conscientious to protect any of the Executive Residence, White House staff, Secret Service, and other staff whose duties require proximity to him,” Dr. Kevin O’Connor, the White House physician said. 

In a tweet, Biden also showed a photo of his negative result on Wednesday.

“Back to the Oval. Thanks to the Doc for the good care, and to all of you for your support,” Biden wrote in his tweet. 

Biden finished a five-day round of the antiviral drug Paxlovid “36 hours ago,” according to O’Connor’s letter from Wednesday, and “as of this morning has completed five full days of isolation.”
