Israel Warns of Capability to “Seriously Harm” Iranian Nuclear Facility

Israel on Tuesday claimed that it has the ability to inflict serious damage to Iran’s nuclear program and accused Iran of not being serious enough to revive its 2015 nuclear deal with world powers.

Israel Defense Minister Benny Gantz said that Iran is not a “problem for Israel alone”, but it’s a “global problem.”

Commenting about US President Joe Biden’s intention to revive the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action signed between Iran and world powers, Gantz said that Iran is delaying the process only to benefit from it.

“In case of revival, it would be a bad deal and it would enable Iran to develop its economy and eventually legitimize a return to their nuclear program at a later date,” Gantz warned.

Former US President Donald Trump pulled the US out of the 2015 agreement in 2018 and reimposed more sanctions, prompting Iran to accelerate its nuclear activity. However, the Biden administration showed willingness to return to the deal.

“I don’t see any agreement in near future,” Gantz said.
