Controversial Brooklyn Pastor Robbed, Loses Over $1 Million in Jewelry

A Brooklyn pastor was robbed of more than $1 million worth of jewelry during a Sunday sermon when armed thieves stormed his church.

Bishop Lamor Miller-Whitehead, a controversial preacher known for his flamboyant style and friendship with Mayor Eric Adams, was delivering a sermon at his Leaders of Tomorrow International Ministries when three robbers walked in on Sunday at around 11 AM local time.

New York police said the robbers unleashed guns and demanded property from Lamor and his wife, Asia K. DosReis-Whitehead.

Lamor’s sermon was being live-streamed, where he is heard asking, “How many of you have lost your faith because you saw somebody else die?,”a few moments before the robbers entered the church.

Lamor said in a video posted to Instagram that he felt a “demonic force” enter the church and wasn’t sure if the gunmen “wanted to shoot the church up or if they were just coming for a robbery.”

New York police said neither Lamor nor DosReis was harmed in the incident, along with their infant daughter.

Lamor offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the robbers on Monday.
