Dubai Police Arrest Armed Men For Violent Clash in Public Place

Dubai Police on Thursday arrested a group of expatriate men involved in a violent brawl in their residence.

“The group of African people appeared in a viral video on social media platforms while fighting in a public place and damaging properties,” Dubai Police said in a statement.

A criminal case has been registered against the suspects who will eventually be referred to the public prosecution.

Police also warned against such “unacceptable behavior” and urged community members to report such negative activities in order to stop the threat to public safety.

According to UAE Federal Law, anyone who disrupts public order or spreads terror among people, or causes harm to the public interest, the national economy, or the public health shall be punished with at least one year of imprisonment and a fine of not less than Dh100,000, or around $27,225.

Last week, police also arrested a group of people who got into a heated argument in a shopping mall.

The Dubai police also arrested the man who filmed and uploaded the incident on social media.
