China Deploys Tanks in Henan Bank After Recent Protests

China has reportedly deployed tanks in front of a bank in Henan after recent mass protests against a financial scandal the bank was liable for.

A video showing tanks lined up on a road in China that was allegedly shot in Rizhao, in Shandong Province show blocking the street.

The tanks were reportedly blocking the bank because clients recently protested the loss of around US $6 billion in deposits after a bank official ran away with them.

The scene was compared to the 1989 Tianmen protests where the Chinese Communist Party used tanks to violently disperse and run over protesters.

“Tiananmen square 2: electric boogaloo,” said one Reddit user.

The Chinese government has not yet released a statement on the deployment of tanks while state media has not made any mention/
