Apple to Set Hiring Freeze

Tech giant Apple will slow hiring and spending growth in 2023 amid predictions of an economic downturn in the coming quarters.

Apple said that the decision to slow down its hiring efforts is not a part of a companywide policy and would implement in different business groups based on product sales, supply chain issues, and consumer demand.

Apple will not fire any existing employees but will not increase its headcount.

Apple will not file certain open positions and will evaluate such situations on a “case-by-case basis”.

Apple will implement the policy in various sectors based on sales, supply chain issues, and consumer demand.

The changes in Apple will not affect all teams, and the company will continue with an aggressive product release schedule in 2023.

Apple will also launch its mixed reality headset in late 2022 or 2023.
