Los Angeles Police Accuse ‘Scrubs’ Producer of Being a Longtime Sex Predator

Eric Weinberg, the co-executive producer of the US comedy television show “Scrubs” was arrested on Thursday on multiple charges of sexual assault.

Weinberg was arrested at his home in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles around noon.

The Los Angeles Police Department said Weinberg targeted women in various public places and approached women between 20 to 30 years old, pretending to be a photographer and setting up photo shoots with them.

“Weiberg was a Hollywood producer/writer and appears to have targeted women in grocery stores, coffee shops, and other public places. Weinberg would approach the women who were in their 20-30s, under the guise of being a photographer and would set up photo shoots with them. Once the women were in his residence, he would sexually assault them during the photo shoot,” the LAPD said in a statement.

Los Angeles police said they believe some additional victims could date back to the early 1990s and encouraged victims to reach out to the department.

Weinberg is being held on bail for $3.225 million.

Weinberg’s case will be handed over to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
