Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the war in Ukraine and the latest developments in northern Syria with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
During their phone call, Erdogan emphasized the importance of ending the Ukraine war with a lasting and just peace through negotiations.
“Turkey is ready to contribute all kinds of support for the revival of the negotiation process,” Erdogan told Putin.
Erdogan and Putin also spoke about formation of secure corridors via the Black Sea for grain exports and that it was time for the United Nations to take action.
Erdogan alsostressed on the importance of extending the cross-border aid mechanism in Syria.
