Shawn Mendes Postpones World Tour to Focus on Mental Health

Shawn Mendes has postponed his “Wonder” world tour to focus on his mental health.

Mendes, 23, said he is pushing back the next three weeks of his concert dates in Uncasville, Connecticut, “until further notice” in an Instagram post.

Mendes said that he started going on tours when he was 15 and had difficulties dealing with distance from friends and family, and has hit a “breaking point”.

“After speaking with my team and health professionals, I need to take some time to heal and take care of myself and my mental health, first and foremost. As soon as there are more updates, I promise I will let you know. [I] love you guys,” Mendes said.

Mendes received supportive comments in his announcement.

Mendes began his “Wonder” tour on June 27 and postponed dates in concerts in Nebraska, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Washington D.C., and Connecticut.
