Belarus Lends Airfield Near Ukraine to Russia

Belarus has handed over “complete control” of the Zyabrovka airfield on the Ukraine-Belarus border to Russia.

Oleksiy Gromov, deputy commander of the Main Operative Department of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, made this announcement during a briefing on Thursday.

Gromov revealed that the airfield was situated in the Gomel region.

Currently, Grovnov confirmed that there were “activities to equip [a] Russian military base” at the location.

Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, claimed this week that “extraordinary sanctions” and “political pressure from the collective West” have pushed Belarus and Russia into union.
