14-Year-Old Arrested for Shooting at Cop Car on Staten Island

A 14-year-old was arrested on Saturday after shooting two police officers in a cop car on Staten Island in New York.

Isaiah Ramos, 14, was charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a loaded weapon, obstructing governmental administration, and criminal possession of a weapon.

New York police officers were driving in an unmarked police cruiser near Prince Street and Vanderbilt Avenue at about 10:10 PM when the teen approached and fired at them but missed both officers and the vehicle.

Michael Harding, Ramos’ defense lawyer, asked for leniency in his client’s arraignment in Staten Island criminal court, saying that Ramos has a clean record and is a student at Eagle Academy.

Ramos was held on $300,000 bail on Sunday and is due in court on Tuesday.
