North Korea has claimed it is dealing with an unknown intestinal illness that has already infected several citizens.
Kim Jong-un, the country’s leader, has ordered quarantine measures to be imposed, the official KCNA news agency report.
On Wednesday, the North Korean leader sent medicine to Haeju city to aid patients suffering from an “acute enteric outbreak.”
Experts believe the infection was either typhoid or cholera.
In May, North Korea proclaimed a state of emergency after claiming that millions of people were suffering from “fever,” which was thought to be an untested Covid-19 instance.
The number of persons afflicted by the new sickness outbreak has not been revealed, nor has it been explained what the condition is, but enteric refers to the gastrointestinal tract.
