Bahrain and Turkmenistan on Tuesday agreed to enhance cooperation in diverse areas of mutual interest including politics and trade.
Speaking at the third round of political consultations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Turkmenistan, Bahrain’s Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa praised close and growing friendly relations between the two countries at different levels.
Al Khalifa said that both sides reiterated strong commitments to further improve bilateral ties in areas of political, economic, social, cultural, scientific, technical and sports fields.
“We have also agreed to further boost our bilateral relations through people-to-people exchange programs,” Al Khalifa added.
The two sides also discussed the implementation of 13 agreements and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that were previously signed between the states.
In his part, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Berdiniyaz Matiyev, said that they also shed light over common concerns relating to the regional and international issues.
“During our discussions, we stressed on peaceful dialogue and tolerance in global issues in order to reach peace, and sustainable development,” Matiyev added.
