Italian rescue crews on Friday resumed searching for a private helicopter that went missing with seven people on board.
The aircraft, an Augusta Koala AW119, went missing shortly after takeoff from Capannori Tassignano airport in Lucca on Thursday.
The Alpine rescue team in a tweet said they are continuing the search with the help of Italian Air Forces.
A number of the people on board are believed to be four Turkish, two Lebanese and an Italian pilot.
Turkish Eczacibasi Consumer Products company in a tweet post said that its four employees were on a business trip to go to a tissue paper production facility in Italy for a paper technology fair.
Anadolu Agency reported that the Turkish Embassy in Rome has been engaged in regular communication with Italian authorities on the matter.
Anadolu quoting sources reported that Italian authorities had suspended the search operation on Thursday night due to darkness and resumed early Friday in areas of Apennine region on the border between the provinces of Lucca and Modena.
