Five Killed in Mass Shooting at Tulsa’s St. Francis Hospital

Five people were killed and multiple people were injured in a mass shooting at a medical clinic in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 1.

The shooter is among those who died, The Tulsa Police Department confirmed.

Police said they received a call at around 5 p.m. local time about a man walking with a rifle at the Natalie Building near St. Francis Hospital.

Police responded and said that it turned into an active shooter situation.

According to the police, the shooter is down at this time.

Officials described the scene as “catastrophic,” KOCO News reported.

“We know there are multiple injuries, and potentially multiple casualties,” the police said in a statement.

Officers are currently going through every room in the five-story medical complex to secure the building.

Police closed down Yale Avenue in the area where the shooting occurred.

Police also have set up a reunification site for families and friends at the Memorial High School.
