A security guard has been killed at the Qatar Embassy in Paris on Monday.
The incident occurred at around 6:30 A.M, and the suspect had entered the Qatar Embassy and had a row with the security guard, who died after being punched.
The Qatar embassy in Paris described the attack as a heinous and unjustified incident.
“In a heinous and unjustified crime, a security officer from the Qatari Embassy in Paris was killed on Monday morning. Law enforcement quickly arrested the suspect and opened an investigation,” the Qatar embassy said on Twitter.
According to Le Parisien, the suspect is a 38-year-old man from Sevran who suffers from psychiatric illnesses and has a history of violence against the police, outrage, and rebellion.
Le Parisien added that the suspect is undergoing a medical examination.
“We await the results of the investigation and invite respect for the privacy of the family of the deceased. The Embassy expresses its deep sorrow and sorrow following this crime and offers its most sincere condolences to the family of the victim,” the Qatar Embassy said on Twitter.
