Netflix to Roast NFL Superstar Tom Brady in New Comedy Special

Netflix announced on May 17 that it will roast National Football League (NFL) quarterback Tom Brady in a planned series of new Comedy specials called “Greatest Roasts of All Time: GROAT.”

“We can’t wait to burn three-time Super Bowl-losing quarterback Tom Brady, who only went back to the NFL in order to delay this roast,” Netflix Vice President of Stand-up and Comedy Formats Robbie Praw said.

“In all seriousness, it’s a huge thrill to work with the greatest football player of all time on this project. No one’s better at taking hits and still coming out on top, so we know the roast will be a breeze for Brady,” Praw added.

Brady’s roast will be filmed in 2023, following his next season with NFL.

Brady will also serve as an executive producer of the series.

“To quote my good friend, Marshawn Lynch … ‘I’m just here so I won’t get fined,” Brady said.

Brady is widely regarded as one of the greatest NFL players of all time. He holds numerous NFL records and accolades and has played 20 seasons with the New England Patriots. He has won six Super Bowls.

Brady announced his retirement in January, but reversed it himself in March.
