Iran to Produce Drone In Tajikistan

Iran said on Tuesday that it would produce its Ababil 2 drone at a facility newly established in Tajikistan.

Iran’s Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri and Defense Minister of Tajikistan Sherali Miroz inaugurated the facility in Dushanbe, the capital city of the Central Asian Republic.

Speaking at the event, Bagheri stressed the need for joint cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan in the fight against terrorism.

Bagheri said that Iran is capable of exporting military equipment to allied and friendly countries to help strengthen their security and defense abilities.

In his part, Miroz agreed for military cooperation in different areas, and this would be the first joint project between Tajikistan and Iran to produce a donre. 

Miroz expressed Tajikistan’s readiness to cooperate with Iran in areas counterterrorism, organized crimes, drug trafficking and also to hold joint military drills to improve military capabilities.
