Ukraine Crowdfunding Platform Launched

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine has launched an internet crowdfunding website to generate donations that will help finance the country’s resistance against Russia’s invasion.

According to Zelenskyy, all the cash donated through the Ukrainian platform United24 will be deposited to Ukraine’s national bank and dispersed to various relevant ministries.

“Today, the whole free world got united around Ukraine, countries, companies, international organizations, and most importantly, people. Now you, too, are among them,” said Zelenskyy.

Ukraine has lost billions largely due to the wide-scale destruction of its infrastructures since the Kremlin ordered a full-scale invasion of the country in late February.

Similarly, Ukraine developed an “Aid for Ukraine” website in mid-March, in collaboration with crypto-firms FTX and Everstake.

Zelenskyy elaborated that the crowdfunding platform would provide 24-hour updates on how the money will be used and that the first report would be available on May 12.

“Together we will win!” expressed Zelenskyy.
