Lebanese Expatriates In 10 Countries Vote in Parliamentary Elections

Lebanese expatriates started casting ballots in 10 Arabic countries, including Iran on Friday for their crisis-hit country’s parliamentary elections while the rest will vote in 48 other countries on Sunday.

Lebanese citizens living in Iran, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Sultanate of Oman, Iraq, and Egypt, will vote today (Friday) nine days before the vote is scheduled to be held at home on Sunday, May 15, 2022.

Lebanese expatriates in the US, Canada, Australia, Russia, European Union countries, and several African nations would vote on Sunday and this is the first time Lebanon’s expatriates in massive majority signed to take part in the elections.

As many as 244,442 Lebanese expatriates have registered to vote in the upcoming election which is double the previous polls in 2018.
