Kamala Harris Tests Positive for COVID-19

United States Vice President Kamala Harris tested positive for COVID-19.

The White House said Harris tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, although she is asymptomatic and is not considered a current close contact of President Joe Biden.

Harris, 57, was part of the latest string of Washington personnel who contracted COVID-19, along with numerous members of Congress who also tested positive as confirmed by the White House on Tuesday.

The White House also said that Biden recently had a phone call with Harris to check in and make sure she had all she needed while quarantined at home.

“Today I tested positive for COVID-19. I have no symptoms, and I will continue to isolate and follow CDC guidelines. I’m grateful to be both vaccinated and boosted.” said Harris in a tweet.
