Warsaw Flights Halted Over Bomb Threat

Flights at the Warsaw Chopin Airport were suspended due to a bomb threat.

Emirates flight EK177 was on approach to Warsaw Chopin Airport when air traffic control said that it had “hazardous materials” onboard.

“The Chopin Airport services received a message about a potential threat regarding a flight from Dubai to Warsaw. After landing, the plane was directed to a remote part of the airport… routine checks are being carried out,” explained airport spokesman Piotr Rudzki.

A video at the airport showed emergency vehicles speeding around the runway as the plane prepared to land.

Polish flag carrier PLL LOT spokesperson Krzysztof Moczulsk said that arrivals and departures were canceled but eventually resumed after no bomb was detected on board the plane.
