South Korea Sends 20 Tons of Additional Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine

South Korea sent around 20 tons of additional humanitarian aid to Ukraine on April 19 as the Russian invasion continues, the South Korean Foreign Ministry said.

The aid comes as part of the US$30 million humanitarian aid package that the government announced and is in addition to the the US$10 million humanitarian assistance sent in March, the South Korean Foreign Ministry said in a statement on April 20.

The aid package includes defibrillators, general-purpose ventilators, and first-aid kits, as requested by Ukraine.

“The Korean government hopes that the assistance will help relieve the suffering of the Ukrainian people and refugees, and the government will positively consider further assistance if necessary,” the Foreign Ministry said.
