Migrant Buses Sent by Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) Arrive in Washington DC

The first bus of migrants from the Texas border sent by Governor Greg Abbott has arrived in Washington DC.

Abbot earlier ordered the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) to send illegal immigrants released ‘from federal custody in Texas to Washington, D.C.

Abbot claimed that the illegal migrants were “dropped off by the Biden administration” and that sending them to DC will help local officials whose communities are being “overwhelmed.”

‘We are sending them to the US capital where the Biden admin will be more immediately able to address the needs of the people who come across our border,” said Biden.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said that the bus deportation plan will be presented in detail once President Joe Biden rescinds Title 42 which bars migrants at the Mexican border from entering due o the COVID pandemic.

The White House has not yet released a statement on the arrival of the migrant buses and there is no information yet on where the migrants will be staying.
