Dnipro Airport Target by Russian Missiles, 5 Injured

Russian forces fired missiles into Ukraine’s Luhansk and Dnipro regions and destroyed the Dnipro International Airport on Sunday.

Valentin Reznichenko, Governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, said that the latest Russian assault on Dnipro International airport obliterated the place and infrastructure around it, along with five wounded.

“There is nothing left of it. Rockets keep flying and flying,” Reznichenko said.

Reznichenko said that attacks on the Dnipro, which lies on the banks of the Dnieper River, intensified on Sunday as Moscow concentrated on the eastern regions.

Three missiles hit the already destroyed airport in Dnipro.

The strike at the Dnipro airport wounded five rescuers of the State Emergency Service.

Reznichenko said that authorities were seeking to clarify information about the victims.

One of the main casualties in the attack on the Dnipro International Airport was the world’s largest plane, the Antonov An-225 Mriya.

Ukraine anticipates a renewed Kremlin attack on the east and south of the country.
